Communities celebrate as the Energy Affordability Act heads to the Governor’s Office for final approval to allow energy discounts for low-income Oregonians and greater participation in energy decision making for BIPOC, rural, and low-income communities.

The Oregon legislature will consider a proposal to create good jobs, reduce pollution, and improve energy resiliency across the state with “100% Clean Energy for All” or House Bill 2024-1. This bill would help ensure that Oregonians benefit from the accelerating transition to clean energy by requiring utilities to source 100% of Oregon’s energy from emissions-free sources, like wind and solar, by 2040 at the latest.

Oregon lawmakers are looking at policies to address housing needs, and House Bill 2842 - Healthy Homes is one such solution with bipartisan support.
